◎演講摘要：
Cell-based therapy could aid in alleviating symptoms or even reversing progression of neurodegenerative diseases and repairing nerve injuries. For cell-based therapy, several critical issues must to be considered: (i) the cellular source must be personalized; (ii) the isolation methods and protocols of cells must be standardized; (iii) the clinical efficacy of cell transplantation must be evaluated in more adequate animal models; (iv) the mechanism of intrinsic repair needs to be better characterized. In addition, the ideal imaging technique for tracking transplanted cells must be safe and yield high temporal and spatial resolution, good sensitivity and specificity. In this lecture, I will introduce the background knowledge of neural stem cells. I will also talk about recent progress in cellular reprogramming of induced pluripotent stem cells and induced neurons for the application of neural injury repair.

許益超教授畢業於國立陽明大學傳統醫藥學研究所, 曾任職於國家衛生研究院之細胞及系統醫學研究所, 現為馬偕醫學院生物醫學研究所之助理教授, 研究專長為幹細胞生物學及腫瘤生物學。
